ABOUT RED LOUD CAMPAIGN
Diabetes & Hypertension Prevention
The Red Loud! Campaign is a powerful, community-driven initiative by the BVI Health Services Authority (BVIHSA) to prevent diabetes, hypertension, which causes kidney disease.
These conditions are escalating health concerns in the BVI, ultimately leading to costly dialysis treatments. The campaign runs from 9 – 13 June, 2025, but its impact will extend year-round through continued educational and preventative messaging
WHY RED & LOUD?
Red: Symbolizes urgency, awareness, and the commitment to “stomp out” the Silent duo of diabetes and hypertension. Participants and attendees are asked to wear red to show their support in fighting the spread of these diseases, and by extension kidney disease/failure.
Loud: We tagged the campaign loud, as a disruption to the silence of the targeted diseases.
